RB-131-17, RB-132-17, RB-133-17 were put into effect

RB-131-17

On September 25, 2017, the Safety Guide “Establishment and Monitoring Methods of Lifetime Performance Characteristics of NPP Valves” (RB-131-17) was put into effect. It contains recommendations on the establishment and monitoring methods of lifetime performance characteristics of NPP valves at the stages of their design and operation. The Safety Guide was developed considering the national and foreign experience in management of NPP valves lifetime performance.

The Safety Guide covers bodies and actuators of NPP isolation valves, check valves, control valves and safety valves (safety devices), which are included into the Lifetime Management Program in accordance with the requirements of NP-096-15. The Safety Guide is recommended to be applied by entities and individuals involved in design and operation of NPP valves.

The Safety Guide was put into effect by the Rostechnadzor Order No.378 of September 25, 2017.

RB-132-17

On September 25, 2017, the Safety Guide “Establishment and Monitoring Methods of Lifetime Performance Characteristics of NPP Pressurized Equipment and Pipelines” (RB-132-17) was put into effect. It contains recommendations on the establishment and monitoring methods of lifetime performance characteristics of NPP pressurized equipment and pipelines at the stages of their design, engineering and operation.

The Safety Guide covers pressurized equipment and pipelines of NPPs with VVER, RBMK, fast neutron reactor, power heterogeneous loop reactor included into the Lifetime Management Program in accordance with the requirements of NP-096-15. The Safety Guide does not cover reactor vessels, pumps, and NPP valves. The Safety Guide is recommended to be applied by entities and individuals involved in engineering and operation of NPP pressurized equipment and valves.

The Safety Guide was put into effect by the Rostechnadzor Order No.379 of September 25, 2017.

RB-133-17

On September 28, 2017, the Safety Guide “Establishment and Monitoring Methods of Lifetime Performance Characteristics of NPP pumps” (RB-133-17) was put into effect. It contains recommendations on the establishment and monitoring methods of lifetime performance characteristics of NPP pumps at the stages of engineering and operation.

The Safety Guide was developed considering the national and foreign experience in management of NPP pumps lifetime performance. The Safety Guide covers housings and mechanical equipment of NPP pumps and pump units, which are included into the Lifetime Management Program in accordance with the requirements of NP-096-15.

The Safety Guide is recommended to be applied by entities and individuals involved in engineering and operation of NPP pumps. The Safety Guide was put into effect by the Rostechnadzor Order No.396 of September 28, 2017.
