Rostechnadzor and Rosatom signed the Agreement on Cooperation

On October 2, 2012 an Agreement between the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service of Russia and the State Atomic Energy Corporation “Rosatom” on Cooperation on the issues of rendering assistance or enhancement of nuclear power national infrastructures of countries planning or constructing the Russian-design nuclear facilities was signed in Moscow.
The document was signed by Nikolay Kutin, Rostechnadzor Chairman, and Sergey Kirienko, Rosatom Director General. In compliance with the Agreement, the State Corporation Rosatom shall provide training for the specialists of nuclear industry organizations of customer-countries in the field of design, construction, operation and decommissioning of nuclear facilities, as well as on maintenance, repair and control thereof, while Rostechnadzor shall train specialists of safety regulatory authorities in atomic energy use of the mentioned countries. Cooperation with the third countries in the field of rendering services on creation of the national nuclear power infrastructure will be arranged through the authorized organizations. Such an organization on behalf of the State Corporation Rosatom is Rusatom Overseas JSC, and Scientific and Engineering Centre for Nuclear and Radiation Safety as well as FSUE VO “Safety” - on behalf of Rostechnadzor. |
