“Nuclear and Radiation Safety” periodical is included into the list of Supreme Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation (VAK)

08.12.2015 In agreement with the decision of the presidium of Supreme Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation (VAK), the compliance of the “Nuclear and Radiation Safety” periodical to the requirements applicable to the peer reviewed scientific technical periodicals, where main scientific outcomes of the Ph.D. degree applicants’ articles are to be published, is confirmed. (Letter of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation No. 13-6518, dated from December 01, 2015).
Academic and research periodical of the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service (Rostechnadzor) “Nuclear and Radiation Safety” is aimed to support the specific features of research activities in the field of nuclear and radiation safety.  “Nuclear and Radiation Safety” includes academic articles of leading scholars and the Ph.D. degree applicants’ in relation to the pressing issues of nuclear and radiation safety, including analysis of unique phenomena associated with emergency situations.  It is recognized as the only journal  in  Russia concerned with the safety of nuclear facilities as distinguished from the safety of a human and protection of the environment that are dealt with in many journals.
Publication of legal and regulatory concepts, classifications, general conclusions that are included into the scope of regulations and rules in the field of nuclear and radiation safety is considered as equally important specifics of “Nuclear and Radiation Safety”. Such type of scientific research is carried out by specialists on scientific support to nuclear and radiation safety regulation, including individuals working towards a doctoral degree. Such research is a scientific product and result developed at the crossroads of several scientific disciplines:  jurisprudence, the system-oriented analysis, boundary problems of nuclear physics, thermophysics, radiation chemistry and others.
“Nuclear and Radiation Safety” periodical is considered as the authorized disseminator of regulatory legal acts of Rostechnadzor in correspondence with the Order No. 384 (dated from April 20, 2006). The distribution list of this periodical covers the entire range of specialists working in the field of nuclear and radiation safety ensuring in the Russian Federation.
It is figured among the list of Supreme Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation.
