XI International Nuclear Forum “Safety of Nuclear Technologies: Safety Culture” will be organized in St. Petersburg in the period from October 3 to 7, 2016

The XIth International Nuclear Forum “Safety of Nuclear Technologies: Safety Culture” will take place in St. Petersburg on October 3-7 of 2016.

The purpose of this Forum organization is to improve the safety level of nuclear facilities due to exchange of experiences in the field of development and enhancing of safety culture.

This year the Forum will focus on the following discussions:

• Development of the legislative and legal & regulatory framework needed for safety culture management at the nuclear facilities.
• The safety culture integration into an organization’s management system.
• Models of safety culture.
• International and national experience regarding safety culture enhancement in nuclear power and nuclear industry, and other potentially hazardous industries.
• Interaction in the man-technology-organization system.
• Practical instruments for safety culture enhancement: personnel selection, education and training; activities of educational and training centers and institutions; psychological, medical and ergonomic factors provision.
• Lessons learned from personnel actions in case of accidents, operating experience analysis and application.
• Critical knowledge management and transfer.

In the framework of this Forum, the V-th International School on Safety Culture will take place; which is established according to the join decision taken by the IAEA, specialists from State Corporation “Rosatom”, nuclear plants of “Concern Rosenergoatom” (JSC), “VNIIAES” (JSC) as well as specialists from foreign organizations.

Advancing and developing of methodologies and practices for safety culture management in organizations, which apply hazardous technologies – are the principle objectives of the International School on Safety Culture.
