«Methodological Recommendations on Radiation Safety Supervision at Radioisotope Devices Operation» is introduced into force 27.07.2017

On July 25, 2017 the document «Methodological Recommendations on Radiation Safety Supervision at Radioisotope Devices Operation» is introduced into force. This document provides recommendations related with organization and implementation of checks (inspections) in entities operating radioisotope devices in different industrial sectors (including metallurgical, chemical, oil and gas, coal, mining, construction engineering). «Methodological recommendations..» are designed for Rostechnadzor officials which check (carry out inspections) organizations operating radioisotope devices.

This document is issued to replace «Methodological Instructions on Radiation Safety Supervision during Radioisotope Devices Operation» (RD-07-11-2001). This document is developed on the basis of regulatory legal acts of the Russian Federation, federal rules and regulations in the field of atomic energy use and with taking into account the IAEA document «Inspection of Radiation Sources and Regulatory Enforcement» (IAEA-TECDOC-1526) (Supplement to IAEA Safety Standards Series No. GS-G-1.5).

Order of the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service No. 283 (dated by July 25, 2017) «On Approval of the «Methodological Recommendations on Radiation Safety Supervision at Radioisotope Devices Operation». This document is developed in SEC NRS with contribution from Bochkarev V.V., Plevaka А.V., Styapushkin P.А. (SEC NRS), Panin А.N. (Rostechnadzor).
