Enactment of RB-165-20

On August 14, 2020 the Safety Guide RB-165-20 "Recommendations on Investigation and Accounting of Abnormalities and Violations in Accounting and Control of Radiactive Substances and Radioactive Wastes in an Organization" was put into effect.

RB-165-20 contains recommendations of the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service of Russia on investigation and accounting of abnormalities and violations in accounting and control of radioactive substances and radioactive wastes in organizations.

The Safety Guide is intended to be used by organizations involved in the activity of accounting and control of radioactive substances and radioactive wastes in the process of production, use, storage, transport of radioactive substances, nuclear materials (except for nuclear materials, the accounting of which is carried out solely in the system of the state accounting and control of nuclear materials), generation, processing, conditioning, storage, disposal of radioactive wastes, including storage and processing of spent nuclear fuel, and also by the organizations performing works and rendering services on management of radioactive substances and radioactive wastes.

In this context, the Safety Guide "Investigation and Accounting of Abnormalities in the Course of Materials Accounting and Control in an Organization" approved by the Order of the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service of Russia No. 471 of October 11, 2013 shall be recognized as appealed.
