BMU

SEC NRS participates in the events in frames of bilateral Agreement between Rostechnadzor and the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) of the Federative Republic of Germany signed in 1997. The cooperation goal is the exchange of experience in the field of licensing, supervision and safety review of nuclear facilities and radiation protection, as well as enhancement of safety of nuclear facilities and radiation protection and prevention of adverse impacts onto environment.

2014

In 2014 SEC NRS specialists took part in the following events:

• Working Meeting А22 “Radioactive Waste Disposal, Radiation Protection and Safety Analysis” in Berlin. The goal of the event is discussion of RW management systems in countries represented by the participants of the working meeting, discussion of approaches to safety analysis applied in Germany in regard to RW storage facilities. SEC NRS representatives gave two presentations: “Safety Regulation of RW Disposal in the Russian Federation” and “Use of Predictive Safety Assessment to Substantiate the Assignment of the Accumulated RW to Special RW”.
• Working meetings in frames of the Russian-French scientific and technical cooperation in the field of atomic energy peaceful use for the year 2013 and beyond. The meetings were held to discuss the current results and further activities aimed at development of the analytical simulator for AES-2006 (VVER-1200/V-491) on the basis of the ATHLET code. The capabilities and conditions for handover of the analytical simulator to SEC NRS to be used at safety review in frames of the licensing procedure were subject to discussions.
