Enactment of RB-151-19

On January 21, 2019 the Safety Guide RB-151-19 "Recommendations on the Structure and Content of Accident Elimination Instruction for Nuclear Fuel Storages" came into effect. The Safety Guide contains recommendations of the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service of Russia on the procedure of development, and on the structure and content of Accident Elimination Instruction for nuclear fuel storages located at nuclear fuel cycle facilities. RB-151-19 is intended for specialists of operating organizations involved in development of the instructions, as well as for employees of Rostechnadzor in charge of state regulation of safety in atomic energy use. The requirements of the Federal Safety Regulations in the field of atomic energy use stipulating the procedure for development, as well as structure and content of the Instruction, can be met using other ways then those, mentioned in the Safety Guide if the chosen ways (methods) for safety ensurance are properly justified.
