Repeal of RB-088-14, RB-089-14, RB-090-14

Today, on January 24, 2019 an order was issued to revoke some orders of the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service of Russia with regard to control of weld joints of NPP equipment and pipelines.

According to the Order, the Safety Guide RB-088-14 "The Unified Methods of Control of Basic Materials (Semi-Finished Products), Welded Joints and Overlaying for Equipment and Pipelines of Nuclear Power Facilities. Eddy Current (Nondestructive) Inspection" approved by the Order of the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service of Russia No. 219 of May 21, 2014 shall be repealed from February 1, 2019.

The following Safety Guides shall be repealed from March 1, 2019:

• RB-089-14 “The Unified Methods of Control of Basic Materials (Semi-Finished Products), Welded Joints and Overlaying for Equipment and Pipelines of Nuclear Power Facilities. Visual Control and Measuring Testing” approved by the Order of the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service of Russia No. 247 of July 06, 2014;
• RB-090-14 “The Unified Methods of Control of Basic Materials (Semi-Finished Products), Welded Joints and Overlaying for Equipment and Pipelines of Nuclear Power Facilities. Liquid Penetrant Testing” approved by the Order of the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service of Russia No. 182 of April 30, 2014.
