RB-154-19 has been put into force

05.04.2019 In April, 2019 a safety guide in the field of atomic energy use “Recommendations on usage of radionuclide ratios method for determination of content of difficult-to-measure radionuclides in radioactive waste produced by nuclear fuel cycle facilities” (RB-154-19).

RB-154-19 “Recommendations on usage of radionuclide ratios method for determination of content of difficult-to-measure radionuclides in radioactive waste produced by nuclear fuel cycle facilities” is aimed to be used in determination of specific activity of difficult-to-measure radionuclides in solid waste (incl. solidified, concreted over), as well as in the field of control of their compliance with the disposal acceptance criteria. RB-154-19 may also be used in control of compliance with disposal acceptance criteria of liquid radioactive waste transported to deep geological disposal facilities.

Nuclear fuel cycle facilities (excluding organizations engaged in uranium mining and milling), specialized organizations engaged in nuclear fuel cycle facilities waste management, national operator on waste management are subject to RB-154-19.
